Pylon towns: where to put each NPC
Split your town NPCs into small groups, one per zone, each with a pylon. They charge less, and you can teleport between them.
The pylon rules
Town NPCs sell the pylon of the zone you stand in when at least 2 town NPCs live near you. None sell pylons while you stand in the Corruption or the Crimson.
A pylon teleports only with at least 2 town NPCs living near it, and only when you stand near a pylon. The
Universal Pylon (sold by
Zoologist) needs no NPCs; the
Zoologist sells it once your Bestiary is complete.
Which NPCs like each zone
Put NPCs who like a zone next to its pylon, and keep those who dislike it away.

Building the groups
Keep groups small: crowded NPCs charge more. Check each neighbour pair with the NPC happiness planner.
